Lecturer in Population Logistics + expand

The IAD seeks to enhance its teaching capacity in the area of population logistics. The successful candidate will support our Instructor and contribute to the development of the curriculum.

A PhD in Political Science, Economics, History, or a related field is desirable. We are particularly interested in candidates with a relevant background in genocide studies, weapons systems, or other related fields. Practical experience is a significant advantage.

The position is residential. Accommodation is provided on the Institute's premises. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Surgeon / Pathologist + expand

The IAD seeks to enhance its medical capacity with a particular focus on on-premise surgery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for surgical procedures on the Institute's premises. Other duties more in line with general medical practice may also be required.

A medical degree could be an advantage.

Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a bonus scheme.

Footman + expand

The IAD seeks to appoint a Footman.

The successful candidate will be responsible for personal attendance, the maintenance of ceremonial standards, and the smooth running of the Institute's permanent resident's daily affairs.

Other duties may be required, including attending to guest lecturers and other visitors during their stay at the Institute, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Candidates should have at least one century of experience in a comparable role. They should be discreet and reliable. An understanding of protocol is essential.

Electrician + expand

The IAD seeks to appoint an Electrician to maintain and develop the Institute's technical infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across the Institute's premises. The role may occasionally require work in confined environments and the wiring of non-standard surfaces and structures.

Candidates should hold a relevant technical qualification. Experience with complex and bespoke wiring configurations is strongly desirable. The ability to work discreetly and under pressure is essential.

Chef de Cuisine + expand

The IAD seeks to appoint a Chef de Cuisine to oversee the culinary operations of the Institute.

The postholder will lead a team of four and will be responsible for the provision of regular meals for those living on the premises, as well as special meals for special guests.

The successful candidate will be expected to cater to diverse and sometimes exacting requirements. At the discretion of the Director, special ingredients may occasionally be required.

Familiarity with a wide range of culinary traditions is essential.
