The Chair
The Chair and founder of the IAD has led the Board since the Institute's inception twenty-five years ago and remains closely involved in its day-to-day running.
The Director
The Director joined the IAD in 2019. After graduating with a PhD in Economics from Harvard in 1989, he moved to Moscow where he served in several roles throughout the 1990s. In 2002, he was appointed Managing Director of the Global Bank for Change.
The Jurist
The Jurist obtained his PhD in Law from the Université de Strasbourg in 1910. After serving in the First World War, he embarked on an academic career, becoming a professor at the Friedrich Wilhelm University of Berlin in 1933. He was appointed to the Board of the IAD at its founding in 2001 and has served on it ever since.
The Banker
The Banker is a pioneer in trade and finance. After serving as a cavalry officer in the mid-nineteenth century, he became an entrepreneur who shaped maritime trade and, ultimately, modern banking. He joined the Board of the IAD in 2006.
The Instructor
The Instructor holds a PhD in Education from the University of Oxford. He served as House Master and Senior Master at a leading British public school from 2003 to 2015 and joined the IAD in 2016.
